A confident performer with an outstanding vocal talent, Darcie will be taking on numerous roles for the upcoming Dramatic Society production of Les Misérables.
The Middle School pupil has been a massive asset to Rydal Penrhos’ Performing Arts provision since enrolling in 2017, and the 15-year-old wasted no time in lending her support to a host of different academic and co-curricular events.
Darcie is no stranger to the stage, and her exceptional solo performance during the Christmas Concert came in for significant praise, as did her selfless efforts with the school’s Choir over the festive period, which saw the contingent sing at various venues across the region.
Another notable highlight of her time at the school saw Darcie excel during the RPS Showstoppers event, which celebrated all things related to Musical Theatre, and her involvement with the Speech and Drama programme has seen her enhance her experience at school events at the Chester Festival.
This resulted in Darcie securing the Devised Scene category prize alongside fellow pupils Ellen Jones, Pip Thomas and Sophie Williams, with the pupil also awarded the Higher Exemplar distinction at Rydal Penrhos’ inaugural Creative and Performing Arts Dinner last year.
A High Merit from her Grade 5 London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art assessment is yet another indication of Darcie’s outstanding stage presence and poise, and she also secured a Commended mark from a recent National Biology Challenge.
