A passionate performer who truly comes to life on stage, Barooj will be taking on numerous roles during the eagerly anticipated Dramatic Society production of Les Misérables.
The Lower Sixth Former has been a valued member of the school community since joining as a Year 9 pupil in 2016, fully immersing herself into the vibrant Performing Arts provision provided.
This has brought with it some outstanding contributions, most notably her performance in Annie the Musical, a production that attracted more than 1,000 audience members over a three-night period.
Another standout feature during her time at the school was her fantastic effort during the Speech and Drama Comedy Night, and Barooj has also secured a plethora of outstanding grading results from her London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts assessments as part of the programme.
Her writing talented have played a huge part in the ongoing success of the pupil-led newspaper The RePorter, and Barooj secured a tremendous set of GCSE results in recognition of her exceptional academic commitment.
This included no fewer than three 9 marks in accordance with the new grading system, in addition to an 8, a 7 and four A marks.
Barooj has thrived during her first year within Rydal Penrhos’ Sixth Form, scooping an Effort and Attainment prize and lending her support to a variety of different fundraising initiatives.
