Leavers' Focus: Jasmin

As part of a special series of summer features, we turn our attention to our Year 6 pupils as we reflect on their accomplishments and get the perspective of Prep School Head Alison Hind.

The latest instalment of Leavers’ Focus features Jasmin Beckett-Donald:

To say that Jasmin had a successful final year at Rydal Penrhos’ Prep School would be a huge understatement.

The popular figure has played a significant role across all areas of school life, and has really flourished since joining as a Reception class pupil

Her influence was acknowledged with a deserved appointment as Snowdon captain and Prefect at the start of the academic year, and she thrived in the role leading the house to a series of competition victories in fine style.

Jasmin is an immensely talented young sportswoman who excels in practically everything she does, with her Netball, Hockey and Athletics contributions coming in for significant praise.

There is more than just one string to her bow, as was evident at the Year 6 play Aladdin and Café Dolphin, with her development academically also pleasing Rydal Penrhos’ dedicated staff team as she prepares to head off to the Senior site in September.

In recognition of her efforts, Jasmin took home a Sports Scholar Award, the Hockey Cup and Netball prize from Rydal Penrhos Prep School’s annual Speech Day event prior to the summer break.

Prep School Head Alison Hind, said: “Jasmin has been with us since she joined the reception class. I have seen her blossom this year in so many ways, not least in height (another one who is looking to overtake me).

“She has matured into a sensible young lady who has good organisational skills which she has put to good use as a Snowdon house captain and school prefect.

“Another pupil who loves everything sporty, Jasmine is a very strong all-rounder who is highly competitive behind that gentle and humble veneer.”
