As part of a special series of summer features, we turn our attention to our Year 6 pupils as we reflect on their accomplishments and get the perspective of Prep School Head Alison Hind.
The latest instalment of Leavers’ Focus features Gabriele Subkovaite:
A calm, collected figure with an awful lot going for her, Gabriele has quietly gone about her business and has played a huge role in the overall success of the Year 6 group this year.
The talented 11-year-old is very strong across all academic subjects and has developed her outstanding knowledge under the expert care and guidance of dedicated staff teaching and supporting at Rydal Penrhos’ Prep School facility.
She led by example as Prefect and was joint-captain of the all-conquering Snowdon House, who gained a considerable about of competition triumphs during what was an incredible academic year of high performance.
Her netball development is another notable feature of her overall skills, and her performances on stage at the Year 6 Aladdin play and Café Dolphin also coming in for significant praise.
To mark her outstanding final year at Rydal Penrhos, Gabriele received the English Cup and the 6JM Attainment, effort and progress prize for her all-round achievement across the academic subjects at the Prep School’s annual Speech Day prior to the summer break.
Prep School Head Alison Hind, said: “Gabriele has travelled through the Prep School from Kindergarten and has formed some strong friendships along the way.
“Highly intelligent yet understated, she is quietly confident and gets on and works diligently. She has embraced opportunities around her.
“She is conscientious, reliable and helpful, making her a good role model as a Snowdon house captain and prefect.
“We will miss Gabriele and send her our very best wishes as she moves on to pastures new.”
