As part of a special series of summer features, we turn our attention to our Year 6 pupils as we reflect on their accomplishments and get the perspective of departing Headmaster Roger McDuff.
The latest instalment features the immensely gifted Ada Vonbank:
Ada made the transition to the Prep School with minimal fuss, quickly establishing herself within the Year 6 group and standing out in a number of areas.
Her gifts in the art room have been exceptional, and she has grown academically with every passing week.
The 11-year-old was also a huge part of the Year production of The Lion King, with her stunning voice coming to the fore with a solo performance that drew widespread plaudits.
These efforts in her first year at Rydal Penrhos are sure to give senior school staff members a great deal of optimism as to what Ada can achieve when the next stage of her education journey begins in September.
Form her exemplary efforts throughout the academic year, Ada was presented with the Head’s Award for excellent example and attitude at Rydal Penrhos’ annual Speech Day last month.
Mr McDuff, said: “Ada is the epitome of a Prep School all-rounder.
“She tries hard at everything and meets with plenty of success, whether it be in the Art Room, the classroom or on the stage – to name but a few.
“She is an intelligent young lady and we have enjoyed getting to know her over this year. Ada is reliable and down to earth and friends find her kind, generous of spirit and dependable.
“She also has a great sense of humour and is often the source of much merriment.”
