A talented young musician managed to emerge from a recent assessment with an impressive result.
Keira Luke, a Year 6 pupil at Rydal Penrhos Prep School, sat her Grade 2 Piano grading during the summer term, which was administered by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.
The ten-year-old kept her composure throughout what was a wonderful performance under pressure, and Keira managed to pass the examination with flying colours as a result of her outstanding effort.
This is the latest in a long line of achievements for the multi-talented pupil, who is thriving both in-and-out of the classroom thanks to her enthusiasm and willingness to learn under the support and guidance of dedicated staff at Rydal Penrhos.
She boasts a wealth of regional and national Sailing success as she looks to follow in the footsteps of her brother and Sixth Form pupil Ewan, and her contribution academically has also come in for significant praise as well as performances at a number of concerts put on over the course of the academic year.
Prep School Head Alison Hind, said: “Keira has developed into a hugely influential member of our young community here at Rydal Penrhos, and this is further reflected in the exceptional progress she has made with her piano playing over recent months.
“Hopefully this is a trend that can continue long into the future and everyone at the Prep School is enormously proud of Keira and what she continues to achieve in a multitude of different areas.”
