A budding Preparatory School martial artist has been rewarded for his hard work with an impressive grading success.
Svaksh Singam, a Reception class pupil at Rydal Penrhos, has been training at the John Lynn’s Black Belt Academy in Colwyn Bay for a number of weeks, and his incredible progression saw him achieve his Yellow belt following an assessment on Sunday, March 18.
The five-year-old put in a tremendous effort to sufficiently impress the adjudicators to pass the exam with flying colours, and he will now begin another process in the hopes of gaining further achievements in the future.
The youngster is the latest in a long line of accolades relating to Rydal Penrhos and the Academy, which has seen a large number go on to gain accolades across a wide range of levels.
Deputy Head Alison Hind, said: “This is a fine achievement for Svaksh and is a testament to how far he has come in such a short space of time with the Academy.
“He has taken to Karate extremely well and gaining experiences like this is something we actively encourage at Rydal Penrhos, as they are key to a child’s overall development and something they may not necessarily get during classroom hours.
“Everyone at Rydal Penrhos is thrilled for Svaksh and I am confident that this is just the start of great things to come in the future.”
