A gifted academic at Rydal Penrhos received a superb set of GCSE results to add to her outstanding list of achievements.
Jenny Blackman was one of a number of pupils from the school that were rewarded for their fantastic application to their studies when results were published on Thursday, August 24.
The 16-year-old secured three A* grades in Biology, Drama and Religious Studies, while also achieving As in Art and Design, Chemistry and Physics.
She also managed to attain eight and seven marks in English Literature and English (First Language) in accordance with the new grading system, and Jenny ensured 100 per cent A*-B grades with Bs in Mathematics and French.

This fantastic set of results marks the end of a strong academic year for Jenny, who played a significant part in the success of the school’s Dramatic Society production of Annie the Musical, which drew widespread plaudits and attracted audiences of almost 1,000 over four nights.
Deputy Head Tim Cashell, said: “Jenny has proven to be a multi-talented member of the Rydal Penrhos community since she arrived as a Year 7 pupil, and her excellent GCSE results reflect this.
“She is a very driven pupil with a great work ethic and these traits and going to serve her well as she embarks on the next step of her education journey with our Sixth Form.”
