Jazz Band and Community Choir to perform at Creative Rhos this weekend

A host of musicians from Rydal Penrhos with be performing at a community event this weekend.

The school’s jazz band, together with the community choir, will be playing to revellers at the Creative Rhos event, which is being held throughout Rhos on Sea this Saturday.

Head Girl Charlotte Owen will be leading the band in a series of songs, with the gifted saxophone trio of Miles Poller, Ieuan Franssens and Sam Jones also on hand thrill the crowds.

Sammy Sherrington, Luke Davies and special guest from Eirias High School Jasmine Leach will also be part of the group, who will be performing from 11am-12.45pm.

There will also be a special appearance from the Rydal Penrhos Community Choir, who will be lending their support to the showcase, which is set to be a highly entertaining day of festivities.

Director of Music Pete Williams, said: “We are delighted to be playing at the Creative Rhos event, which adds to the number of community schemes we work on throughout the year.

“We have lots of exciting songs lined up so it promises to be a treat for those who attend, and I would also like to thank the Community Choir for giving up their time and agreeing to join us.”
