A gifted musician at Rydal Penrhos has been rewarded for her hard work with a notable grading success.
Jasmin Lewis, a Year 7 pupil at the school, produced a stunning effort to come away with a Merit in her Grade Two Piano examination, which was administered by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.
The 11-year-old gained the impressive accolade after a number of weeks preparing hard for the assessment, and she has now set her sights on further recognition in the future as she embarks on her Grade 3 pursuit.
This is the latest in a long series of Music grading success stories at Rydal Penrhos throughout the academic year, with young musicians’ giving up their own time in the hope of gaining extra-curricular awards.
Director of Music Pete Williams, said: “Jasmin has worked incredibly hard to gain her Grade Two award, and we are delighted with both her progress to date and her assessment result.
“It has been a real pleasure to teach her this year as Jasmin shows a tremendous application to her musical studies, something that will ensure even more success in the future as develops her craft.”
