A hard-working Preparatory School pupil has become the latest to climb the ladder of a thriving learning initiative.
Rydal Penrhos staff devised a new spelling challenge for pupils last year, which has three different levels each with 110 words.
The pupils have been encouraged to work towards their incremental targets of Gold, Silver and Bronze within each stage, and a host of certificates have already been issued as a result of their hard work since the initiative began.
Izhran Shah, a Year 4 pupil at the school, is now just four steps away from completing the challenge after gaining his Stage Two Silver Award to mark an impressive start to the academic year.
The nine-year-old was presented with his certificate at Rydal Penrhos’ weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, October 13.
Deputy Head Alison Hind, said: “Our Spelling Challenge has brought with it so much success since its inception, and it always fills me with a great sense of pride when I see our pupils gain certificates thanks to their hard work and preparation before each test.
“Izhran has shown an enormous amount of enthusiasm which has been highlight with his progression through the levels, and the information he acquires during his revision will no doubt stand him in good stead when he applies this knowledge in the classroom.”
