Hundreds raised from Tenovus Spring Concert involving Community Choir

An impressive fundraising total was raised from a recent concert in the region featuring the Rydal Penrhos Community Choir.

The group performed at the Llandudno Friends of Tenovus Care Spring Concert, which took place on Saturday, April 13 at the United Reformed Church in Rhos on Sea.

The event celebrated the five-year anniversary of the Sing with Us Llandudno Choir, and the concert also featured performances from the Jessica Thomas Country Band and the Llandudno Choir.

A total of £678.31 was raised on the night, with all proceeds going towards Tenovus Cancer Care, who aim to help prevent, treat and find a cure for the disease.

The Community Choir was set up in 2013 to bring together the voices of people associated with the school, and the choir has enjoyed a phenomenal amount of success since its inception.

It is led by Rydal Penrhos’ immensely talented Director of Music Pete Wiliams, and the choir performs at high-profile events such as the Christmas Concert and Speech Day.

Mr Williams, said: “We were thrilled to lend our support to the Tenovus Spring Concert, and well done to everyone that performed to raise a substantial amount for a very worthy cause.”

Members of the Rydal Penrhos family and the wider community are welcome to join, and there is no audition prior to joining.
