A large number of young pupils were acknowledged for their hard work throughout the year at Rydal Penrhos’ annual Pre-Preparatory Speech Day.
Parents, staff and pupils descended on the School Hall on Monday, July 3, where they enjoyed a fabulous event thanks to master of ceremonies, teacher Gaynor Davies.
All pupils received certificates for their efforts throughout the year, which ranged from Early Years to Year 2.
There was also a pair of ballet performances from all four age groups, and the showcase concluded with two songs from the collective group ‘If I had a summer’ and ‘Summer Holiday’.
In addition pupils also received the gymnastics and swimming certificates, while special awards were dished out to the pupils who had shown promise throughout the year.
There were a host of individual prizes for attainment, effort and the ever popular ‘good-egg’ awards for their superb accomplishments both academically and during their extra-curricular activities.
Prep School head Roger McDuff, said: “The Pre-Prep Speech Day is always one of the most popular dates on the calendar, I would like to thank all parents for coming along and indeed for their efforts during the academic year.
“It has been another memorable year here at Rydal Penrhos, with a host of our pupils going on to achieve great things – something we are very proud of.
“We look forward to welcoming you all back next year for should be another eventful ten months.”
