A special fundraising event has been arranged for Rydal Penrhos’ rugby tour later this year.
The Golf Day Fundraiser will take place on Wednesday, June 21 at Prestatyn Golf Club, and organisers are seeking teams to come and compete against each other at a cost of £100 per four ball (£25 per person).
All proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards the school’s tour of Japan in December, where they will be taking on some of the best young sides anywhere in the region.
This will include an acid test against Gyosei High School in Osaka, who were recently crowned national champions, and they will also take on teams from high-profile cities such as Tokyo and Kyoto.
Director of Sport Allen Boyd, said: “Our Japan tour promises to be an unforgettable experience and one that our first XI squad will not forget in a hurry.
“It is a landmark excursion to a country with a growing reputation in the sport, and I would like to thank MSG Tours for organising the trip, who we are delighted to be working with once again.
“The importance of using a reputable agent, one with extensive experience and one with a robust support system in place cannot be underestimated when undertaking a tour like this, and hopefully we can raise a significant amount to go towards it.”
Tee off times are available between 9am and 12pm, and anyone wishing to book their place is urged to contact Mr Boyd via email at ABoyd@rydalpenrhos.com
