A talented staff member at Rydal Penrhos continued her remarkable golfing success at a series of recent competitions.
Dawn Jones, who works as a sports coach at the school, has enjoyed a phenomenal summer season to date which has seen her handicap plummet to five.
The former Hockey Wales international took home the prestigious Professional’s Day Stableford at Rhos on Sea Golf Club, where she produced a sensational round to emerge as the comfortable winner ahead of Joyce Oliver and Susan Bailey.
There were further accolades this month in the form of the Helen Duffy Trophy, where Dawn came away with the Silver Division title after gaining 36 points.
This week’s Welsh Dragon Brooch (GUW Medal) also brought the best out of the staff member with a round of 78 which was enough to secure her the Silver Division crown.
Director of Sport Allen Boyd, said: “Dawn has proven her ability on the golf course time-and-time again, and to achieve success on a consistent basis is a testament to her dedication, temperament and ability to thrive in pressure situations.
“She serves as a great role model to our aspiring sporting stars here at Rydal Penrhos, which makes her a huge asset as a staff member and leader.”
