Two Golf Academy stars were rewarded for their contributions throughout the season with a pair of individual awards.
Adrian Lewis and Reuben Bather, Year 9 pupils at the school, took home the accolades from Rydal Penrhos’ End of Term Prizegiving event last month.
Welsh squad member Reuben, who will be part of the U16 side that will tackle England in a home international later this month, has enjoyed phenomenal success with a number of regional and national triumphs this year, and was named as the Player of the Year by Academy co-ordinator Ian Richardson.
There was also an honour presented to 14-year-old Adrian, who has shown an enormous amount of progression throughout the season, something which saw him become a worthy recipient of the Most Improved Player of the Year Award.
Rydal Penrhos’ Golf Academy has continued to thrive thanks to the hard work of staff members and pupils, with the likes of Charley Simpson, Sam Jones and Emely Stern all
Director of Sport Allen Boyd, said: “It has been another hugely impressive year from our Golf Academy members, who continue to show enormous promise which gives everyone here at Rydal Penrhos enormous hope for the future.
“They are benefitting from specialised coaching from our dedicated staff and professionals at North Wales Golf Club in Llandudno, while they are also making significant strides in the gym with our Strength and Conditioning staff.
“All this hard work is bringing with it fantastic results and congratulations go to Adrian and Reuben on their awards.”
