A pair of talented golfers at Rydal Penrhos emerged with bragging rights from a special event.
The school’s annual Order of Merit concluded last week after a highly competitive series of matchplay fixtures involving eight teams consisting of Academy members and staff.
Welsh international Reuben Bather and the improving Adrian Lewis managed to successfully get their hands on the title after securing 18 points, finishing three ahead of Richard Wolfendale and Niall Richardson in second.
Rounding off the podium places were the duo of Noah Langford and Sam Jones in third spot, with Baptiste Mazars/Mr Richardson and Jonas Lucas-Nuelle/Jule Mayer one point back in joint fourth.
The winning pair received a trophy for their efforts following the final round of matches at North Wales Golf Clun in Llandudno, which was held on Friday, January 19.
Director of Sport Allen Boyd, said: “Our Golf Academy has thrived in recent months which has seen a surge in participation, and this was evident once again throughout our Order of Merit.
“Conditions have been testing at times which have made things difficult for those taking part, but it has also helped improve their overall game considerably which can only be a good thing going forward.
“Eventually the class of Adrian and Reuben prevailed in the end and congratulations go to them for winning the competition and to everyone that took part.”
