Head of Girls' Games at Rydal Penrhos, Nicky Head, brings you a rundown of the weekend's Girls' Hockey action, which saw a number of sides welcome King's School Chester for a series of competitive fixtures.
On Saturday the under 14s played 11-a-side against King’s Chester.
The girls had a great first half with amazing passes from all of the players but unfortunately King’s found their way past and took the score to 2-0.
In the last minutes of the first half, however, Eve Durrans took an amazing shot at goal making it 2-1.
The second half was strong with great saves from Emily Stubbings but the final score was 2-1 with Lily Davies being the player of the match.
The U13's met a strong side at King's who made the break early on in the match to take the lead.
As the game progressed the team started to work together creating some excellent passages of play but to no avail. Final score 3-1 with Ella Northcott scoring our goal.
The U15's played against a much more organised King's Chester at home, dominating the game from the push back.
Despite this, the team continued to apply pressure throughout the game and defended well against a stronger team. Final score 5-0.
