U15A v Moreton Hall

From the start Moreton hall were playing a fast-paced attacking game.  However, they failed to get into the D or find a place to take a shot thanks to our strong defensive players Isobel Rogerson, Sophie Williams and Lydia Gilman. Unfortunately, we gave away a long corner giving them a chance to score. A player close to the post hit it in and scored.

Throughout the first half Beau Holden and Phoebe White had multiple runs up the pitch without success.

We started the second half with a defensive short corner which we quickly and easily deflected the ball and tried to send it up the pitch. However, we ended up in another short corner, and despite some fantastic saves, including one aerial save, from goalie Niamh Smith, the ball once again hit the backboard of our goal.

We reset and the ball was pushed up the right wing from Ellen Jones to Hannah Davies, who then turned and passed across the D to Tasnim Mortuza who took a strong hit that went straight through the goalie’s legs. 2-1.

This prompted our opponents to work harder and after a third short corner they scored again. The whistle blew 3-1 to Moreton Hall. Beau Holden and Niamh Smith were players of the match, well done to everyone who played.

U15B v Moreton Hall

Due to our long holiday it was safe to say that we weren't all in the best condition for a high pace game and a strong opponent team. But to our disadvantage that is exactly what the match had to offer.

The first quarter was very fast and the team worked well as a unit keeping position of the ball and working very hard. But by the second quarter the team was worn out and lacked enthusiasm, but continued to give it their all. It was 3-0 and despite some fantastic efforts we had not manage to get a goal until the ball was passed all the way down the wing and Emily Thomas took a shot at goal and scored! With excellent support from Philippa Thomas.

Despite the goal keeper’s efforts and excellent saves from Rebecca Mann and Shruthi Ganapathi, Moreton Hall scored another goal and the final result was 4-1 to Moreton. Player of the match was Maddie Fardoe. Well done to everyone.

U15C v Moreton Hall

The under 15c team had a slow start paying Moreton Hall in the first quarter, but soon stared to pick up the speed. There was a great defence from Alys Peake Jones who attacked the opposition and made it difficult for them to get into the D. Lily Davies was fast and regularly carried the ball to Moreton’s D. Also there was good attacking from Eve Durrans and Ariana Milligan who worked well together to score a goal. The end result was 1-0 to Rydal and player of the match was Eve Durrans.
