A large number of Preparatory School children have been making the most of their half term break thanks to a special initiative.
Rydal Penrhos’ passionate staff once again devised a fantastic schedule as part of their October Playscheme, which is offered to families with children learning at the facility during the holidays.
Among the activities included an action-packed Forest School morning, which was Halloween themed and featured hide and seek, making spooky leaf ghosts and creating their very own pumpkins to mark the occasion.
They also made the very most out of Rydal Penrhos’ stunning location by taking a trip to Newborough Beach, where they took part in a fun fungi hunt and competed against each other to see who could build the biggest stone tower.
There was further fun to be had on their trip to Erddig in Wrexham, where the group explored their famous Apple Trial and spent time getting creative at a den building session.
The Playscheme is following the new format implemented so successfully during the summer, which involves going off-site almost every day during the schedule to maximise the experiences of each pupil taking part in the programme.
Prep School Head Alison Hind, said: “Our Playscheme is something that has proven to be enormously beneficial to the children involved in terms of building friendship and aiding their overall development, and this is down to their attitude and the incredible support and organisation from our incredible staff team.”
