A multi-talented Preparatory School pupil has been very busy in recent weeks, achieving a considerable amount in the process.
Will Glanville, a Year 5 pupil at Rydal Penrhos, has brought on his Football and Gymnastics skills considerably throughout a series of fixtures and competitions to further enhance his overall experience in both areas.
The nine-year-old demonstrated no fear at the North Wales Regional Boys’ Gymnastics Championships in Mold, where he was put into the U14 category and competed against other gymnasts who were far older and more experienced.
Despite his tender age, Will turned in a fabulous effort to come fifth in the vault event, and he followed this up with a creditable sixth place overall.
Will has also secured some notable success as part of the Conwy Borough U11 football squad, who have gone from strength-to-strength at a series of high-profile tournaments across North Wales and the North West.
The right-winger has been ultra-consistent throughout the campaign, helping Conwy attain four tournament triumphs out of the six they entered, with the group also securing two runners-up medals to show for their efforts.
This is the latest in a series of superb achievements from the pupil, who is also thriving in areas such as Skiing, Sailing and Cricket thanks to the opportunities available at Rydal Penrhos.
Head of Boys’ Games Jamie McLeod, said: “What Will continues to achieve on a consistent basis across so many different areas is very pleasing, and hopefully his unrivalled enthusiasm and energy will see further progression academically and from a co-curricular perspective as he goes through Year 6 in the months to come.”
