A group of budding Preparatory School footballers performed well at a North West tournament held at a prestigious sporting venue.
The U8 Rydal Penrhos side travelled to the multi-million pound academy complex of Premier League giants Manchester City on Friday, October 6, where they competed in an IAPS tournament.
During a highly competitive day of action there was plenty to celebrate for the group, who managed to gain impressive victories over Altrincham Prep School, The Grange and King’s School Macclesfield.
The visit is the latest in a series of Prep School dates at the complex, which continues the strong links between Rydal Penrhos and the current leaders of the Barclays Premier League.
Deputy Head Alison Hind, said: “These events are a fantastic way for our pupils to build team spirit and confidence, and for them to perform as well as they did was incredibly pleasing.
“We have had a great deal of success thanks to our continued involvement with the IAPS at Manchester City Football Club, and hopefully this will continue long into the future.
“Our sporting prowess is something that we are incredibly proud of and this fine tradition is in very safe hands to the hard work our staff and pupils are putting every day.”
