A gifted young footballer at Rydal Penrhos has been rewarded for a fine season with an award.
Iestyn Williams, a Year 10 pupil at the school, came away with the Parents’ Player of the Year Award for his efforts with Colwyn Bay’s U15 side last term.
The 15-year-old turned in a number of impressive performances throughout last season, which was enough to catch the eye of those in attendances which was the catalyst behind him receiving the prize.
He is currently in the midst of pre-season training with the side as they look to replicate their success in the coming months.
Director of Sport Allen Boyd, said: “Iestyn has worked incredibly hard as part of the Colwyn Bay set-up and he is thoroughly deserving of this award.
“He is very gifted technically and has a fantastic desire to improve both his skill set on the pitch and his strength and conditioning to set him apart from the rest in his age category.
“Hopefully this hard work will bring with it even more achievements in the not-to-distant future and we look forward to seeing how he develops as part of the Bay squad.”
