Aspiring Preparatory School cake makers got the chance to showcase their talents at an annual event at Rydal Penrhos.
As part of the school’s recent Friends of Rydal Penrhos Summer Fair, a special cake competition was held in the lead-up to the fundraising date with three different categories up for grabs.
There were a host of impressive creations in each category, which were then taken down to the Memorial Quad and added to the ever-popular cake stand situated at the Fair.
After a thorough judging process, Year 6 pupil Aiden Van Rooyen was presented with the Prep School award for her outstanding creation, with Kenzie Livingstone taking home the Pre-Prep accolade after impressing adjudicators with her tasty final design.
There was also a parent prize that was won by Jacqueline Turner, who is also a member of the FORPS committee and was one of the chief organisers behind the overall success of the Fair.
Prep School Head Alison Hind, said: “Our Friends of Rydal Penrhos Summer Fair is always one of the most anticipated dates on the calendar, and the Cake Competition is something that really captures the imagination of each pupil and parent that took part.
“Congratulations go to Aiden, Kenzie and Jacqueline on winning their respective categories, and on behalf of everyone at Rydal Penrhos I would like to thanks our fantastic FORPS committee for their tireless fundraising work both for the school and worthy causes across the region.”
