A group of young swimmers have been praised for their dedication during a special course over the Easter break.
Rydal Penrhos held a series of Intensive sessions for those looking to get an introduction to swimming, and the sessions went through the basic swimming and breathing techniques which will stand them in good stead for the future.
There was even time for some fun-filled games as a reward for their application.
In addition to learning from the school’s qualified and dedicated staff member Andrew Edgley, those in attendance also benefitted from the presence of former Head Girl Hannah Cashell, who spent some time with the group while on a break from her university studies.
This is the latest in a series of courses put on at the Swimming Pool throughout the year, which include one-to-one sessions, Scuba Diving and the RLSS Pool Lifeguard qualification.
Head of Swimming Maciej Ruszkowski, said: “Each individual that took part in the session applied themselves very well and progressed a significant amount, which was extremely pleasing.
“Mr Edgley and Hannah did a fantastic job and their enthusiasm really transitioned over to each child involved.”
