A gifted Preparatory School dancer is celebrating after achieving a notable grading success.
Eloise Brown, a Year 3 pupil at Rydal Penrhos, produced a fantastic effort to pass her Grade One Dance assessment, which was administered by the Royal Academy of Dance.
The eight-year-old started well with good marks in the technique stage of the grading, before impressing examiner Philippa Richards with an 8/10 in the Music section.
She then went on to score 7/10 for her performance, a 6/10 for her Dance technique and 7/10 for her Music and Performance.
Eloise ended the exam with a pair of six scores in Dance and Reverence Technique and Music and Performance respective to bring her total to 66/100 to achieve a pass in comfortable fashion.
The gifted pupil will now begin preparing in the hope of achieving further success in the future, and she received her certificate and a round of applause at Rydal Penrhos’ weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, June 16.
Prep School head Roger McDuff, said: “This is excellent news and Eloise deserves an enormous amount of credit for the way she prepared and performed.
“She is one of many multi-talented pupils we have here at Rydal Penrhos, and she gives up a lot of her time to develop all areas of her dancing, something which is bringing with it superb results and long may this continue.”
