Ellie secures Tap Dance grading triumph

An aspiring Preparatory School performing artist picked up another notable achievement with a grading success.

Ellie Knight, a Year 5 pupil at Rydal Penrhos, recently sat her Level One Tap Dance graded examination, which was administered by the Dance Examinations Board.

The multi-talented individual managed to perform exceptionally well in front of adjudicators, which resulted in Ellie securing a very encouraging Merit grade as a result of her efforts.

She has already begun working hard in the hope of achieving further grading success in the future, and Ellie received her certificate with a generous round of applause from Prep School Head Alison Hind and Assistant Head Catherine Hughes at Rydal Penrhos’ weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, June 14.

This is the latest in a series of outstanding achievement from Ellie, who is thriving across all academic areas and has also secured some notable accolades in areas such as Karate, Netball and Sailing.

Mrs Hind, said: “Ellie’s determination and will to get the very most out of every opportunity afforded to her is a testament to her overall character, and it comes as no surprise to see her come away with yet another grading achievement.

“She is incredibly active and goes about her studies and co-curricular activities with a quiet politeness and steely determination, and everyone at Rydal Penrhos is thrilled for Ellie and her ongoing distinctions.”
