A hard working Preparatory School pupil has become the latest to complete a popular spelling challenge.
Rydal Penrhos staff devised a new spelling challenge for pupils last year, which has three different levels each with 110 words.
The pupils have been encouraged to work towards their incremental targets of Gold, Silver and Bronze within each stage, and a host of certificates have already been issued as a result of their hard work since the initiative began.
Year 6 pupil Ella James has become the latest to finish the challenge, and received her Stage Three Gold certificate at Rydal Penrhos’ weekly Celebration Assembly earlier this month.
Deputy Head Alison Hind, who started the scheme, said: “This challenge is something that has really inspired our pupils, and it is fantastic to see that the first pupils have completed the three stages.
“Ella has worked incredibly hard to get over the final hurdle, and hopefully there will be plenty more achievements of this kind to come in the future, with many of our pupils now on the finishing stages of the scheme.”
