Talented musicians at Rydal Penrhos battled it out for bragging rights at a recent competition.
A host of pupils took to the Memorial Hall stage on Thursday, February 16 for the Boarding Inter-House Music Competition, which produced a number of impressive efforts in what was a highly entertaining evening.
Each of the five boarding houses had to put together two performances for the showcase, which is now in its third year, in addition to a piece w=involving all house members.
After a fierce evening of competition, Edwards house were crowned overall winners thanks in no small part to the outstanding vocal efforts of Olivia Williams and Adele Parry.
A solo performance from Leopold Ludwig was the catalyst behind Netherton’s second placed finish, while Geoffrey Fu, Josh Whitlow, Noah Wiedenmann, Jacob Lau, Emil Mohr and Alex Benfield helped Beecholme to third.
Among the other highlights were Sean Hughes, Vincent Kohm and Lukas Foerster performing for Walshaw, with Alex Roberts and Oliver Hellstern for Hathaway also catching the eye.
Director of Music Pete Williams, said: “It was an extremely tough competition to judge this year such was the quality of performances, and I would like to congratulate each pupil and staff member that contributed to the success of the event.
“I never cease to be amazed by our pupils and the talents they possess, and well done to Edwards House on securing the title.”
