Early Years children at Rydal Penrhos have been taking part in a series of fun-filled and thought-provoking activities to enhance their learning.
The youngest members of the Preparatory School community have been working incredibly hard under the expert guidance and care of committed staff within the department, taking part in a wealth of different tasks during another busy week.
One of the key components within Early Years is numeracy, and the group boosted their number skills considerably by counting through threading, and they have also spent time at Rydal Penrhos’ impressive Forest School facility designing and constructing their own butterflies.
Another exciting activity for the contingent brought some tasty results, with the children given the chance to make their very own ice cream as a rewarded for all their dedication to academic-related tasks.
They have also been finding out more about the importance of building friendships in all areas of their learning, which has brought some really impressive outcomes.
Prep School Head Alison Hind, said: “Our Early Years staff do such an incredible job of building the right foundations for our youngest children to thrive for the remainder of their education here at Rydal Penrhos, and their tireless commitment and passion for what they do is one of the key components of the incredible success within the department on a daily basis.
“Each child has achieved so much in a short space of time in terms of their overall development, which is down to their faultless attitude and their ability to tackle every challenge with fearless enthusiasm.”
