A number of Performing Artists received recognition for their efforts as part of Rydal Penrhos’ Dramatic Society.
No fewer than 17 pupils are now the proud recipients of Exemplar or Higher Exemplar honours as part of their work with the group throughout the academic year, and they received their respective prizes from Senior School Head Sally Ann Harding at the second annual Creative and Performing Arts dinner on Wednesday, April 3.
James Gilman, Perry Williams, Noah Lewis, Emily Jones, Caitriona Searl, Will Rutherford, Jaydon Blears and Gabriel Speakman received Exemplar honours thanks to their sterling efforts on stage and during various rehearsals.
Those receiving the distinction of High Exemplar were Beau Holden, Hannah Davies, Niamh Smith, Emily Penwright, Bella Rutherford, Darcie Harker-Weston, Kevin Farrell, Ioan Peake-Jones and Ollie Gibson.
Each pupil receiving the accolade played a leading role in the recent production of Les Misérables, which wowed sold out audiences over a three-night period last month.
Mrs Harding, said: “Our young actors not only have a tremendous amount of talent, but they all work incredibly hard on improving which really came across with their exceptional displays during the Dramatic Society production.
“All are thoroughly deserving of their Exemplar and Higher Exemplar honours and they can all be extremely proud of their contribution to our phenomenal Performing Arts provision here at Rydal Penrhos.”
