Rydal Penrhos’ outgoing Deputy Head Girl team have concluded their time at the school with a superb set of A-level examination results.
Adele Parry and Grace Patrick, both aged 18, have managed to secure their University places and will now head off on the next step of their education journey having been part of the school community since 2010.
Boarding pupil Grace achieved A* grades in both Drama and English, in addition to a B in Religious Studies and C in History. and she will now head to Queen Mary University of London next month to study History.
Adele, who was also an Edwards House boarder at Rydal Penrhos, gained an A* in English together with A marks in Drama and Religious Studies.
This fantastic set of results confirmed her place at the University of Durham, where she will shortly embark on the Education Studies (English Studies) degree course.
The pair have been enormously successful during their time at the school, and their performances in the Dramatic Society productions of To Kill a Mockingbird and Annie the Musical sure to be spoken about for years to come.
They have also done some incredible charity work with the Sixth Form Charity Committee, and have also been exceptional role models as Peer Mentors.
Head of Sixth Form Pete Lavery, said: “Grace and Adele have both worked incredibly hard during the whole examination process, and we are delighted that they have been rewarded with impressive final marks.
“Both have been a pleasure to have here at Rydal Penrhos, and their focus and determination to succeed is sure to serve them well at their respective universities.”
