Cricketing brothers at Rydal Penrhos started the new season with success for their respective North Wales clubs.
Jack and Will Sissons, Upper Sixth and Year 11 pupils at the school, turned in eye-catching performances as part of the Llandudno and Colwyn Bay sides that securing victories as the campaign got underway.
Will hit the ground running for the North Wales Premier Division champions as they triumphed by 21-runs over derby rivals Mochdre.
The 16-year-old top scored for Jack Rimmington’s side with a patient knock of 34 from 60 balls before he was eventually ousted from the crease by Kyle Brown.
There was further cause for celebration with Bay starlet Jack, who was part of the second unit that gained a 63-run success over Southport Trinity at Penrhyn Avenue.
After contributing a valuable 16 with the bat, the Deputy Head Boy also made his presence felt on the other side of the ball by removing the dangerous Adam Thorpe for four on his way to figures of 1-28 from seven over of play.
