A pair of former Rydal Penrhos pupils have signed for Colwyn Bay ahead of the new season.
Gareth Goodson and Pat Leach, who left in 2004 and 2003 respectively, will be part of the squad at Penrhyn Avenue as they embark on their second season in the Liverpool and District Premier Division.
Both are expected to feature in their opening league clash at Ainsdale on Saturday, while they begin their Welsh Cup journey on Sunday in a home tie with Brymbo.
Goodson joins the club after captaining North Wales Premier Division outfit Mochdre, while Leach, who is the son of Rydal Penrhos’ Head of Cricket Mike, joins the former Welsh Cup winners after a stint with Newport Gwent Dragons.
Bay skipper Sion Morris, said: “Gareth brings with him a lot of experience having captained Mochdre and adds some depth to our bowling attack, and it is great to have Pat Leach signed for a second spell after he left to focus on his rugby at Newport.
“He is going to be travelling from Cardiff to play for us, which is fantastic and he will be another huge asset to the squad.”
