Community Choir members highlight benefits of joining group

Some of Rydal Penrhos’ Community Choir have been speaking on their experiences since joining the group in a bid to attract new members.

The group was set up in 2013 to bring together the voices of people associated with the school, and the choir has enjoyed a phenomenal amount of success since its inception thanks to the tireless effort of

It is led by Rydal Penrhos’ immensely talented Director of Music Pete Wiliams, and the choir performs at high-profile events such as the Christmas Concert and Speech Day.

They also hold their own Concerts to raise funds for worthy cause within the region and beyond, with the group raising more than £8,000 to date.

The Community Choir meets once a week to rehearse, and new members are always welcome to attend.

Lisa Williams, said: “They are such a lovely bunch, I always come away smiling.”

Soo Roch, said: “Come and join a lovely friendly choir with a fantastic musical director.

“A really good variety of music and no auditions! Everyone is made really welcome.”

Menna Hitchings, said: “I love singing and feel uplifted after every rehearsal and performance.”

Barbara Griffiths, added: “Even if I have had a bad day I always feel great after I have been to choir.”
