A Preparatory School pupil has been making waves as part of her involvement with a regional youth organisation.
Chloë Tillman-Lennon, a Year 6 pupil at Rydal Penrhos, recently joined the Sea Cadets after reaching the minimum age requirement of ten in June, and she has wasted no time in making the very most out of the experience throughout the summer months.
She spent the initially time with the group representing them in sailing competitions, swimming galas, parades and at various fundraising events.
In recognition of her outstanding work with the Cadets, Chloë was presented with two special badges entitled ‘Water Born’ and ‘Unit Activities’ and she also received recognition from Prep School Head Alison Hind at Rydal Penrhos’ weekly Celebration Assembly prior to the half term break.
There was further cause for celebration from Chloë’s perspective recently, as she was awarded her Sailing Stage Three Award from Llandudno and Colwyn Bay clubs, as well as securing a certificate for her work in the RIB.
Mrs Hind, said: “Chloë is so passionate about all sea-related activities and it is fantastic to see her doing so well during her initial work with the Cadets.
“This is typical of the way she applies herself to everything both in and out of the classroom here at Rydal Penrhos, and we are enormously proud of Chloë for everything she has and continues to achieve both academically and during her co-curricular activities.”
