A cheque of more than £1,000 has been handed to a Conwy hospice thanks to the sterling efforts of Rydal Penrhos’ Charity Committee.
Will Marston and Head Girl Charlotte Owen presented the donation to staff at Ty Gobaith, with £1,163 raised in total from the annual Christmas Market.
Sarah Kearsley-Wooller, Major Gifts Manager at Hope House Children's Hospices, said: "The continued support of Rydal Penrhos School is so very much appreciated. It is thanks to the hard work and enthusiasm of this year's Charity Committee that the excellent sum was raised.
“As the only children's hospice in North Wales, this generous support will help us make the most of short and precious lives."
There was a huge turnout of pupils, staff and members of the public, with plenty to enjoy throughout the three-hour event.
A host of stalls were on offer in the Memorial Hall, with everything you could need for a last minute Christmas gift for a friend or loved one.
In addition there was also a Santa’s Grotto, with Head of Design and Technology Phil Sutton playing the role of Father Christmas for the evening.
The market was kept entertained throughout by the Rydal Penrhos band, which consisted of staff and pupils who played festive songs to keep people entertained.
