A multi-talented young sportswoman capped off a memorable season for her regional hockey club with a special award.
Charlotte Payne, a Year 4 pupil at Rydal Penrhos, has been part of the Colwyn Bay U8 side that has enjoyed another fine campaign, securing a number of impressive results against other squads from around the region.
As a result of her significant contribution to her side’s cause, the nine-year-old scooped the coveted Best Girl Award from their recent presentation evening, adding to her outstanding list of recent accolades thanks to her tireless commitment.
She secured a notable double from Colwyn Bay Netball Club’s End of Season Awards, winning Most Improved Player of the Year for both the Colwyn All-Stars and Sharks.
Charlotte is also a very talented showjumper and has secured a plethora of regional competition victories, while she is also excelling across all areas of Prep School life thanks to the application being shown under the leadership of Rydal Penrhos’ dedicated staff team.
Deputy Head Alison Hind, said: “Charlotte continues to achieve so much across a variety of different areas, which are all developing her overall skillset in and out of the classroom.
“She is a very active child who seems to thrive at everything she tries her hand at, and hopefully Charlotte can view her recent success stories as a source of inspiration as she goes on to pursue great things in the future.”
