Bumper Weekend Activities programme revealed for spring half term

A bumper schedule has been confirmed which is set to continue the fantastic success of an ongoing initiative at Rydal Penrhos.

School receptionist and Weekend Activities co-ordinator Sarah James has devised a fantastic programme for both boarding and day pupils for the first half of the spring term, which begins with a chance to check out the January sales at the impressive Broughton Retail Park.

This will be followed by the highly anticipated Inter-Boarding House Football Championships on Sunday, January 13, with a trip to the take Part event at Venue Cymru in Llandudno also scheduled for the same day.

The second week sees the fifth Mystery Bus trip on Saturday, January 19, which has proved to be a very popular addition to the schedule this academic year, and the following day sees aspiring motorists take to the track for a day of Go-karting at Apex Kart Chester.

Those looking to gain an additional qualification during their free time should look no further than the Indoor Climbing NICAS certificate day in Caernarfon on Sunday, January 27, before the first weekend in February sees an Ice Skating trip and a Horse Riding session kick-off the action-packed schedule.

One of the highlights of the schedule is the annual trip to the Chinese New Year celebrations in Manchester on Sunday, February 10, and there will be plenty of fun to be had during a competitive Paintball trip to the nearby St George.

Anyone wishing to book their place on any of these trips or for more information please contact Miss James at Reception or via email at SJames@rydalpenrhos.com.
