A talented Preparatory School musician has received recognition for his hard work with an impressive grading success.
Tristan Griffiths, a Year 5 pupil at Rydal Penrhos, managed to secure a Merit in his Grade 4 drum examination, which was administered by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.
The 10-year-old produced a fine effort to impress adjudicators and claim a notable honour despite his tender age, and he will now begin working hard in the hope of gaining even more grading triumphs in the coming months.
This is the latest in a long line of music grading achievements throughout the academic year so far across all age groups at Rydal Penrhos’ Prep and Senior sites.
Director of Music Pete Williams, said: “This is a fantastic result from someone so young and full credit goes to Tristan for his exceptional work in the lead-up to the grading.
“He is a very dedicated individual who is thriving both academically and during co-curricular activities, and this is a testament to how much effort he is putting in throughout all areas of life here at Rydal Penrhos.
“Hopefully this is just the start of things to come for Tristan and he is sure to go on and achieve further accolades in the future if he continues to apply the same level of commitment.”
