Rydal Penrhos’ Senior School community will come together for one of the most prominent dates in the sporting calendar this week.
The school will host its annual Sports Day festivities on Friday, May 24, which will take place at the picturesque New Field site from 11.30am.
Wesley House will be looking to defend their crown for a third consecutive year on what is expected to be a superb day of action across all age groups, with events such as the 100-metre sprint, the high jump and the all-important relay races set to play a significant part in determining the overall victor.
Those in attendance can also participate in the infamous Rydal Mile, which has featured some extremely memorable highlights in recent years.
All points acquired will go towards the overall Yeung Bowl House Cup winner, which will be announced by Executive Principal John Waszek and Senior School Head Sally Ann Harding at the Year 11-13 Speech Day on Saturday, May 24.
Director of Sport Allen Boyd, said: “Our Sports Day event is always something that comes with a great sense of excitement, and this year promises to be no different thanks to an action-packed schedule throughout.
“It is always a wonderful showcase of the athletic talent we are fortunate to work with here at Rydal Penrhos, and they have all been working incredibly hard both individually and with our specialist staff team in the leaqd-up to the event.”
