A group of selfless pupils at Rydal Penrhos have been praised for their assistance at a pair of events last weekend.
Both day and boarding pupils at the school took time out of their weekend to assist staff at the All Wales Boat Show, which was held in Conwy over a two-day period.
The annual showcase attracted thousands to the marina and Rydal Penrhos’ sailing guru Max Todd was joined by staff at a special pitch, where they invited members of the public to come along and discuss the incredible sailing programme and its success.
In addition, Edwards House boarders and in particular Lia-Britt Zenker, Samiya Garrod, Zlata Marakova and Jessica Maudsley were given the task of helping with the school’s Summer Programme with visitors from an education establishment in Italy.
They aided the guests on a number of fun-filled activities as part of their stay, which included a trip to the nearby Welsh Mountain Zoo in Colwyn Bay and a mini bake off at the boarding house.
Deputy Head Tim Cashell, said: “I am very grateful to the many pupils who helped at the All Wales Boat Show over the course of the weekend. I know staff were particularly appreciative of your support and many members of the public commented on you very positively.
“Edwards House staff and I are grateful, particularly to Lia-Britt, Zlata, Samiya and Jess, for the support given the summer programme pupils – to all buddies, too, your help in ensuring their smooth arrival has been very pleasing.”
