Year 7 pupils James Copeland and Bentley-Hodgson Roberts were invited by the Colwyn Bay U10s to join them in making a Guard of Honour on the hallowed Principality Stadium turf to welcome the Gogs and Pontypridd onto the field ahead of the televised match.
Thousands of North Walians made the journey south for the historic match including a group of current and former pupils who hired a coach for the day to mass exodus to Cardiff.
The boys also had the added bonus of meeting former Wales skipper Ryan Jones in the lift and being invited to join the rest of the Bay squad in a private box hired by one of the parents.
It capped off a memorable weekend for the Gogs, who also had pupil and academy star Dan Owen feature heavily for Wales U18s at the International Festival, where they finished with two wins and a loss from their three contests.
