Budding footballers at Rydal Penrhos competed for bragging rights as the annual Boarding Inter-House Five-a-Side tournament came to an end.
After several weeks of competitive action, Beecholme completed the clean sweep to take this year’s crown, making it four wins in as many contests with a 3-1 success over defending champions Hathaway.
Among the top performers throughout the competition were Tawanda Harris, which the tricky forward contributing a number of goals during their triumph.
Others that caught the eye were Alex Benfield and Josh Manning in what was a comfortable victory for the house.
Hathaway had to be content with second place after their final defeat, with the girls of Edwards House causing yet another shock as they beat Netherton to secure third place in what was their second win of the tournament.
Deputy Head Tim Cashell, said: “This was another fantastic competition between boarding pupils and congratulations go to Beecholme on their deserved victory.
“It was also great to see our talented girl footballers performing so well as part of the Edwards team, and they proved to be more of a match for the more experienced boys and came out of the tournament with an enormous amount of credit.”
