A talented young musician has been rewarded for his dedication to improvement with a notable grading success.
Zac Roberts, a Year 8 pupil at the school, recently sat his Grade Two rock guitar assessment, which was administered by the University of London.
The 12-year-old aspiring Rock and Roll star produced a fantastic effort in front of adjudicators, who were thoroughly impressed and awarded Zac a Merit as a result of his efforts.
He will now begin honing his skills even further in the pursuit of further accolades to add to his already impressive collection.
Zac has developed significantly both in-and-out of the classroom at Rydal Penrhos’ Prep and Senior sites, and has improved his confidence at a large number of concerts put on by the school throughout the academic year.
Director of Music Pete Williams, said: “Zac is enormously passionate about his guitar playing, something that is ensuring his ongoing improvement in both technique and performance delivery.
“He is a hard-working pupil who is taking full advantage of the wealth of opportunities afforded to him and every child living and learning at Rydal Penrhos.
“This is another massive confidence boost for Zac and I look forward to working to help him progress even further in the weeks and months ahead.”
