Art pupils at Rydal Penrhos produced some stunning pieces as part of their GCSE examination.
The group took part in the two-day exam from Thursday, March 22 until Friday 23, and worked on a variety of themes and processes in the hope of impressing the examiners.
There were a host of impressive pieces from each pupil involved, with Zahra Shamsi, Orla McGagh, Kathleen Cheesley, Harry Hackman, Lucy Jones and Raha Aminnejad all showed a tremendous amount of supplication throughout the strenuous process, with brought with it some fantastic final creations.
Tallulah Batley’s superb painting was another extraordinary final piece from the examination, while Ethan Davies’ hanging skull was innovative and creative in equal measure.
Their work will be showcased for the school community at the department’s annual Art exhibition, which will take place next term.
During the event, there will also be a chance to go through pupils’ coursework once it has been completed, and they will be on hand to answer any queries regarding their work for those in attendance.
The exam concludes months of preparation from each pupil, and their commitment and dedication to their pieces has been matched by the expert guidance and support each pupil has received from Head of Art Mark Sherrington and passionate teacher Suzy Morris, who have been on hand to assist in any way possible throughout the process.
