A dedicated Preparatory School pupil continued to defy her age with further success in a specially devised learning scheme.
Rydal Penrhos’ hard-working and passionate staff devised a new spelling challenge for pupils last year, which has three different levels each with 110 words.
The pupils have been encouraged to work towards their incremental targets of Gold, Silver and Bronze within each stage, and a host of certificates have already been issued as a result of their hard work since the initiative began.
Another young pupil managed to continue her exceptional progression in terms of the challenge in recent months, with Areesha Owais successfully passing her Stage Two Bronze assessment and is now almost halfway through the initiative despite her tender age.
The eight-year-old has benefitted enormously from the continued commitment and dedication shown by staff across all academic subjects and co-curricular activities, something that has brought consistent success in areas such as Maths, Science and Drama.
Deputy Head Alison Hind, who devised the scheme last year, said: “Areesha’s enthusiasm and dedication across all areas of life here at Rydal Penrhos is something that makes her a valued member of our wonderful Prep School, and it is absolutely no surprise to see her achieve further accolades from the Spelling Challenge.
“Hopefully this is a trend that will continue long into the future, and she can enormously proud of her efforts so far.”
