Aspiring Preparatory School skiers got the chance to develop their skills thanks to a special opportunity.
A large contingent from Rydal Penrhos travelled to Madonna di Campiglio in the Italian Dolomites over the recent half term break, with the group enjoying six days of wonderful skiing in perfect conditions.
Incredible progress was shown by all those who made the trip, with beginner, intermediate and advanced skiers showcasing their incredible skills under the guidance of instructors Marco and Monice.
The advanced group managed to go off piste, head down the adrenaline filled black runs and getting good air in the snow park to boost their experience and confidence in an unfamiliar surrounding significantly.
They stayed at a four-star hotel which was just a short walk away from the lifts, and there was plenty of fun-filled activities for the group to participate in during the evening once the skiing had concluded.
Head of Boys’ Games Jamie McLeod, who arranged the trip, said: “This was another unforgettable experience for our pupils and their family members, and the progression they showed throughout the week was absolutely extraordinary.
“They all conducted themselves superbly and all age groups got on really well with each other, which was almost as pleasing to see as the skiing itself.
“I would also like to thank each parent that came along to support the trip, and hopefully everyone got an enormous amount out of it.”
