More than 100 people have now donated to Rydal Penrhos’ annual fund campaign as the project nears its target.
Ambitious plans have been made to turn the Sixth Form Ferguson Centre into a “bright, creative and inspiring space”, and this is a pupil led project organised by the Upper Sixth duo of Anna Richardson and Morgan Roberts.
Thanks to various fundraising initiatives and generous donations, the total now stands at £39,117 of the £50,000 target, with 115 people contributing to the cause.
This represents a significant increase in the Annual Fund total in 2017, which saw 56 donors and £12,324 raised for various projects throughout the school.
As part of the campaign, the team have researched possible designs, contacted companies for quotes, met with the Senior Leadership Team as well as presenting their plans to Governors at the school.

Mr Lavery, said: “This has been an incredible effort from the Rydal Penrhos community, and on behalf of the Sixth Form planning committee I would like to thank everyone that has made a donation so far.
“This has really demonstrated the leadership qualities of our Sixth Form pupils, who have shown an incredible maturity and focus during what is an extremely busy time for the group.”
