A pair of Preparatory School pupils have been gaining some valuable experiences as part of a community youth group.
Angus Holland and Steffan Atenstaedt, both Year 1 pupils at Rydal Penrhos, have been working hard on achieving notable accolades as part of a local Beavers group, which is based on the Great Orme in Llandudno.
The duo have been learning the ropes when it comes to navigating and orienteering, and they put their new skills to the test at an Orienteering activity recently.
The six-year-olds coped with the task exceptionally well and were awarded a medal as result of their efforts.
They received further recognition in the form of a generous round of applause as the Prep School’s weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, June 9, which recognise the achievements of the young pupils both in-and-out of the classroom.
Prep School head Roger McDuff, said: “Both Steffan Angus has been working very hard to achieve various targets since they joined the Beavers group, and it is something that they clearly have a great passion for.
“These are just two of many of our pupils who embrace learning outside of the classroom, and a number of them are thriving in various fields such as Music, Theatre and Dance.
“Groups such as the Beavers are a fantastic way of developing new skills, while also building confidence and learning how to work within a group and individually.”
